Traditionally, fish and chip boxes are constructed with Kraft paper on the outside and recycled paper on the inside. However, this method requires the addition of a food-safe layer, such as greaseproof paper, to protect the food from direct contact with the box. Recognising the need for a better solution, we’ve innovatively switched the paper arrangement. Now, the Kraft paper is placed inside the box, ensuring it directly interfaces with the food.

Storing cardboard and paper for extended periods before processing can lead to unwanted consequences. Over time, any lingering food and grease residue on these materials can turn rancid, attracting insects and animals and creating an unsanitary environment.
To ensure proper recycling, cardboard undergoes a thorough cleansing process. It is washed with soapy water and a combination of chemicals to remove coloured inks and glue. Subsequently, the cardboard is mixed with water, forming a slurry. However, effectively removing oil and grease requires rigorous scrubbing. Consequently, the slurry turns into a water-oil mixture, making separating the oil from the paper fibres challenging. The presence of greasy takeaway boxes in a recycling batch can contaminate the entire process, rendering it unusable.
Another significant challenge in the recycling process is the issue of “wish cycling.” This occurs when non-recyclable waste is placed in recycling bins due to an assumption or desire for it to be recyclable. This practice can lead to complications during recycling, as even a single non-recyclable item can contaminate an entire batch of clean cardboard if not identified early on.

Courier deliveries will be made between 9am – 6pm.
All deliveries must be signed for unless stated in the special instructions when placing the order.

As soon as your goods leave our premises they are tracked until they reach your door!
We partner with DPD for a reason, they offer the most in flexibility and customer service features. Once your goods are picked up from our depot, you will be notified via either the email addressed you provided or by text message on the telephone number you provide during the order process.
On the day of delivery, you will be given a 1-hour delivery slot, this means that you do not need to be in all day like other couriers. Through the DPD app or website you are able to track the route and name of your driver.
Going to be out whilst the delivery is taking place? No Problem, you can either change the delivery address or even request it be delivered to a local pick up point or store. Many stores including Halfords and Sainsburys support DPD pick-ups.

Part-pallet or full pallet deliveries will be despatched through our pallet network or on our own vehicles. You will be notified by email when your delivery is being despatched, but will be unable to track it online. All pallet deliveries will be made between 8am - 6pm on the next working day.
Once your order has been placed a quote for delivery will be generated and you will be contact prior to despatch to make payment.
We aim to process and despatch orders for next business day delivery (subject to stock availability). But please allow 2-3 days for delivery.
Orders placed by 2pm Monday to Friday would normally be delivered next day (Sunday and bank holidays Excluded). Please note pallet deliveries can only be delivered on a working day with Saturdays excluded.
In the event that the product ordered is out of stock, the customer will be contacted with an estimated delivery date.

In the late 1970s, two friends and colleagues, Tim Allen and Stewart Middleton saw a gap in the market for a different type of packaging supplier. At the time, other businesses were selling custom made boxes and stocking packaging consumables, but Tim and Stewart wanted to offer more than that. They wanted to give their clients additional services, such as warehouse storage and the ability to have their packaging delivered as and when it was required. Packaging Supplies was established, and the rest is history.
