The growing interest to remove plastic from single-use packaging has prompted us to invest in eco-friendly takeaway packaging, which is both biodegradable and 100% compostable.

What Makes Our Food Packaging Supplies Eco-Friendly?

Nearly all our takeaway packaging supplies are made using Ingeo™ Bioplastic PLA which is a more environmentally friendly option to the common plastic liners used in standard coffee cups or clear plastic cups. You can order via our online shop with next day delivery.

As well as our stocked eco-friendly fast food packaging, we can also customise many of our product range with your own branding — just get in touch for a quotation. Custom compostable food packaging supplies can be made using regular methods and techniques or by using Ingeo™ Bioplastic PLA, so please state your preference when enquiring.

Introducing Ingeoâ„¢ Bioplastic PLA

Ingeo™ Bioplastic PLA is a thermoplastic with the physical characteristics and performance of plastic. Naturally advanced Ingeo™ resins used in food service-ware means Ingeo™ Bioplastic PLA has a significantly lower carbon footprint than the fossil fuel-based polymers in materials it replaces. This is because the manufacture of Ingeo™ Bioplastic PLA emits fewer greenhouse gasses (GHGs) than the comparable manufacture of common petrochemical-based plastics. The innovation of turning plants into plastic allows us to exclude non-renewable resources (such as oil) from our range of products.

Our smoothie cups, portion pots, lids and deli bowls are all made purely with Ingeoâ„¢ Bioplastic PLA and our coffee cups and soup cups are made with paper and lined with the same material instead of plastic. This sustainable solution is both commercially compostable and biodegradable.

Our takeaway packaging products give you a sustainable option that maintains exceptional performance with superior insulation. Other features include:

  • Commercially compostable
  • Renewable Resources
  • Paper from managed forests
  • Oil-free
  • Cold content Friendly
  • Hot content Friendly
  • Non-toxic inks

What’s the Difference between Our EcoCups & Conventional Paper Cups?

The vast majority of coffee cups in the marketplace are still lined with plastic. These cups can technically be recycled — albeit by specialist facilities — which are limited in the UK. However, they are not compostable or biodegradable.

As there are only a few facilities that can separate the plastic from the paper, this results in a large number of conventional cups being sent to landfills. Currently, we stock single wall and double wall cups in both PE and PLA materials as some of our customers still prefer using plastic-coated cups. But, we are extremely committed to our goal of converting all of our customers to our eco-friendly products by 2021.

Our EcoCups are lined with Ingeoâ„¢ Bioplastic PLA, meaning there is not just a lower carbon footprint during the manufacturing process, but the lining we use makes our cups commercially compostable and fulling biodegradable compared to standard coffee cups or plastic cups on the market.

Our EcoCup range includes single wall EcoCup, double wall EcoCup, clear EcoCups and our deli and soup EcoBowls.

Delivering packaging products & services
for over 36 years

At the time other businesses were selling custom made boxes and stocked packaging consumables, but Tim & Stewart wanted to offer more than that. They wanted to give their clients additional services such as warehouse storage and the ability to ‘call off’ their packaging as and when it was required…
